Your responsibilities

Duties primarily include teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

  • establishing CRISPR-Cas9 technologies in the fungal pathogens
  • molecular cloning and fungal transformation
  • plant infection assays
  • support teaching (2,6 LVS) in course Masters in Plant Science (MOPS)

Your profile

A university degree in a relevant field.

  • doctorate desirable
  • experienced in
    • CRISPR-Cas9 technologies, guide-RNA design, molecular cloning
    • microbiology, fungal cultivation and Botrytis cinerea transformation
    • molecular biology, DNA/RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, recombinant protein purification
    • confocal microscopy for host-pathogen interaction studies
    • supervising BSc and MSc students
  • fluent in English
