Scope of work: full-time position suitable for part-time
Research associates will be expected primarily to teach and conduct research. The research associate will also have the opportunity to pursue further academic qualifications, in particular a doctoral dissertation. At least one-third of set working hours will be made available for the research associate’s own academic work.
In your research, you will develop ideas for the realization of new research projects, will be involved in planning and executing empirical research projects in the field of transformative service research, and will maintain ties with our research partners. The objective is to publish the research findings in relevant international academic journals. Your responsibilities in the area of teaching include involvement in various German-language courses (4 course hours), overseeing exercises, supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses, correcting written examinations, etc. You will additionally assist the professorship and the team administratively, for example with planning and executing doctoral seminars, etc.
A university degree in a relevant field.
We expect you to have a master’s degree in business administration or in data science as well being motivated to complete a PhD in the field of transformative service research/the integration of vulnerable target groups (e.g. people with a refugee background) into society.
You should have very good methodical knowledge (application of multivariate data analysis methods). Evidence of proficiency in German (C1 level). Very good written English. It would also be advantageous for you to have written your master’s thesis in the area of transformative service research. Experience in writing academic texts would additionally be advantageous.
